June 10-12, 2022, The Summit of Seven Boys & Men Conference sponsored by The Summit of Seven Foundation was held at Eastern Florida State College, providing a series of life-changing community educational programs for our youth and young adults. The Summit presented workshops that challenged them to prepare for successful careers and family life
The conference was open to the public with approximately 260 people in attendance Friday night at the Annual Fun Festival where, popcorn, hot dogs, hamburgers, and BBQ was served with several corporate sponsors providing support including, Brevard Public Schools,
Community Credit Union, Wawa Corporation, Truth Real International Ministries, Sanders-Randal Rice, Attorney at Law, and Air Force Technical Application Center, etc.
In addition, The Summit of Seven Conference volunteers’ delivered meals to 22 homeless individuals and 10 families in need.
Saturday morning started an exciting day for our boys and men with registration and breakfast by the Evans Center before starting our breakout Sessions that included Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), Law Enforcement, Financial Literacy, Business Ownership, Public Safety, and Mental Health. Saturday cumulated with a community and corporate sponsored luncheon which approximately 400 in attendance and Mr. LeRoy Darby as Master of Ceremony.
There were several scholarships awarded, two $1,000 EFSC Scholarships and three Phi Beta Sigma scholarships to very deserving students.
We encouraged local and partner organizations and churches to host a special Sunday Service or event in recognition of our boys & men. Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church hosted our 2022 Boys & Men Recognition Day. Many thanks to our event vendors, volunteers, and sponsors! You made a difference!
The Young Man of Distinction Award was presented to three extraordinary youths within our community. This Award is given annually to recognize and celebrate a young man who has become a positive role model for others and has succeeded in life despite difficult odds. The Summit celebrated the extraordinary achievement of three young men who are making a difference in our community.

Xavier Torrell Desmond Patterson - Heritage High School, Palm Bay, FL
The Earl Gordon Community Service Award is presented annually to an individual that has demonstrated outstanding service to our community as a community leader. The Summit presented this prestigious award to Charles Jackson for leading the way.
The Going the Extra Mile Award is selected for an individual or organization which provides solutions and solves complex problems that our community faces. The Summit presented this award to a community leader who makes a significant difference through their desire to create social change and their commitment to achieve community development, Pastor Addison K. Mitchell, Parker Memorial Missionary Baptist Church Cocoa Florida.
The Top Man Award! The Summit recognizes the male who brought the most males to the Summit. Each man is challenged to bring at least seven males with him to the Summit. Hence the name Summit of Seven. This year the Top Man Award winner is Parker Memorial Missionary Baptist Church Cocoa Florida.
